In this course, students will learn to edit raw footage from the YouTube channel Dude Perfect into a polished, fully edited video through a combination of interactive, instructor-led lessons, collaboration, and independent project work.

Here’s a sample of what a week in the course could look like! Please keep in mind that students will progress at varying paces; this is a general outline of the key material and overall student experience.

Monday

Students will discuss example footage and videos from Dude Perfect and brainstorm ideas for engaging video content. They’ll select the footage they’d like to use and dive into crafting their own videos!

Tuesday

Students will begin learning Adobe Premiere Pro editing techniques using the footage they selected the previous day.

Wednesday

Students will continue to edit and refine their videos with an emphasis on timing and high-quality production.

Thursday

Students will learn to create and apply special effects into their videos and begin their final rounds of editing.

Friday

To cap off the week, students will share their work and provide meaningful feedback to their peers.
