Testimonial Tuesday—parent & student quotes from week #2

iD Tech in action

Believe it or not, we are already on our third week of Summer 2018!

And with each camp session that passes, students from coast to coast are leaving their programs with new STEM skills, cool projects, and great things to say about their iD Tech experiences.

We are aiming to make this a regular blog installment, along with soon bringing back our hilarious #CamperSaidWHAT series—so keep an eye out!

For now, enjoy a few of our favorite parent and student quotes from last week’s sessions.

From Parents

“It was such a pleasure to get a nightly text message from Kadena telling us that she is glad that she took her grandpa up on the offer to go to camp.”
-Brook S.,  Arizona State University

“This is Spencer's second summer at iD Tech camp and he absolutely loves it! This is a kid who doesn't like camp, but he kept asking me when he was going to iD Tech. The staff is great and I'd recommend this to everyone. Thank you!”
-Joan R.,  UNLV

“The camp promoted and validated my student's passion for video games and the positive, useful parts of how these games can be manipulated and developed. These skills will translate into a better understanding of critical analysis and computer programming as they progress into higher level academics.”
-Keith G.,  CSU - Fort Collins

“The iD Tech staff went above and beyond helping my son learn extra gaming options outside of the class curriculum... just because he asked! Every day he came home saying that it was the most fun of anything he had ever done.”
-Cynthia J.,  CSU - Fort Collins

“Although hesitant to sign-up based on the cost, our experience has been phenomenal. Our 8-year-old daughter was completely engaged with the camp, counselors, and experience. She learned a lot about programming and was so excited to go back to camp every day. She had no previous experience with programming, but the way camp was designed, her confidence increased with each successful task. We will be coming back again next year and might even be looking for an available spot in another iD Tech program this summer.”
-Stacy K.,  Butler University

“My Daughter had a fantastic experience. This is her first actual technology training and she absolutely loved it. We are looking forward to signing her up again for another course. Thank you very much.”
-Aylin L.,  Case Western Reserve University

“Wow! Our boys had a BLAST and they learned A LOT. This was also their first sleepaway camp. We had very good communication via text and phone calls from the staff. The counselors did a great job helping them.”
-Steve S.,  Lake Forest College

“From the moment I found out about iD Tech on Facebook, through the registration process, the camp experience right to the end of the week, it has been a very positive experience—especially for Ethan who would love to join iD Tech in the future.
-Trish S.,  Purdue University

“Cannot get over how amazing the staff was. Unbelievable, beyond the call of duty amazing. My son had a wonderful experience. He will be an iD Tech-er for a long, long time to come!”
-RoseMary M.,  Vanderbilt University

“This is a well-organized, fun environment for kids, where they can increase their confidence and skill with various concepts.”
-Ingrid B.,  St. Edward's University

From Students

“Yes! This is a such a good program to get girls into technology and to spark an interest or two. I highly recommend this program to any girl who is interested in technology.”
-Taylor O.,  UNLV

“I really enjoyed how much freedom the camp offered. Their computers and supply of games were very impressive and well suited for everyone's needs. I was impressed with how the instructors treated us and I felt like I could actually talk to them.”
-Joshua C., Arizona State University

“I had an amazing time. I was able to learn new things and make some great new friends. Can't wait to do this more in the future.”
-Katie D., CSU - Fort Collins

“I enjoyed my experience very much. The counselors are super-duper nice, the food there is great, and I learned a lot. Thank you soo much!
-Lia L.,  Case Western Reserve University

“iD Tech is the best camp I've ever been to. I wish this camp went through the whole summer! The staff members are awesome, the food is wonderful, and the projects you do there are the best!”
-Zachary D.,  Lake Forest College

“Everything about the program keeps you engaged while provided an energetic and friendly experience!”
-Luke W., Ohio State University
