OUR MISSION

iD Tech is dedicated to closing the digital divide in STEM education.

Through our Social Impact initiatives, we create life-changing tech experiences that embolden underrepresented students to shape the future. iD Tech believes that children of every gender, ethnicity, background, ability, and socioeconomic status deserve the chance to become tech changemakers.

Our Social Impact Initiatives

Coding Her Future

Launched in 2019, Coding Her Future engages girls in immersive computer science and engineering programs, working to bridge the gender gap in STEM. Women make up over 50% of the U.S. population, but only 18% of computer science undergraduates are female. Girls who have access to STEM programs are three times as likely to major in computer science and engineering in college. To date, over 80,000 girls have graduated from iD Tech programs. We also match partnership donations to provide life-changing scholarships. Our goal is to inspire and empower girls in tech, cultivating the future women of STEM.

Scholarship Programs

Since its inception, our scholarship programs have provided tens of thousands of educational experiences to underserved students to attend iD Tech programs. Through our Tuition Assistance Program, Corporate sponsorships, iD Tech has introduced students throughout the world to STEM, sparking their curiosity in tech. Every child deserves access to quality tech education, regardless of socioeconomic background. Our goal is to help bridge the digital divide. Learn more.

Coding Our Future

Coding Our Future was launched in 2019 as a way to collaborate with our partners to help break down the barriers to STEM for underrepresented youth. Blacks and Latinx make up roughly 30% of the U.S. population, but only represent 14% of computer science undergraduates. Students that are exposed to the magic of tech at a younger age are more likely to pursue STEM as a career. iD Tech matches partnership donations with underserved youth to provide life-changing scholarships. Our goal is to create impactful STEM experiences, providing a serious competitive edge for the future changemakers of tech.

In-Kind Donations

We believe in giving back and sharing cutting-edge tech with our communities. Through our partnership with human-I-T, we have donated over $200,000 dollars in decommissioned technology which has helped fulfill requests for over 65,000 laptops and supported over 63,000 households to date in signing up for low-cost, high-speed internet plans.

Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

We are striving to create a just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive (JEDI) workplace by intentionally building a place for ingenuity and diverse perspectives. Our JEDI council has six core members yet all of our employees are considered to be the “7th member,” as we believe that every person on our team plays a significant role in creating a thriving and inclusive workplace. Each year, the council sets strategic goals based on employee feedback, as well as external research on best practices, and creates subcommittees across all departments to help create systemic change. Employee Community Engagement

Making an impact in the community is an integral part of our company culture. We collaborate with a variety of nonprofit organizations, and our employees dedicate hundreds of hours to giving back each year. Projects range from 3D printing mask extenders for healthcare workers to writing letters to soldiers, volunteering at creek clean-ups, contributing at food banks, and helping provide resources for underrepresented communities through our charitable donation matching program. Our goal is to empower one another to maximize volunteer hours while connecting authentically with our community.
