The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here: the return of legendary iD Tech in-person camps! We are thrilled to celebrate this long-anticipated homecoming to the campuses, traditions, and signature programs we love.
Most of all, we can’t wait to welcome campers back to the face-to-face fun that’s launched hundreds of thousands of STEM journeys over the past 22 years.
Through all of the challenges posed by the past two years, the amazing young people who come to camp have inspired us to innovate: we developed Virtual Tech Camps, Online Private Lessons, and Semester courses to provide our community of families as many high-quality options as possible.
Now, we are delighted to announce that in-person camps are back in the mix for summer 2022, accompanied by all of the unique elements that make iD Tech Camps special for our community and life-changing for kids and teens.
“From shout-outs and raffles to gaming tournaments, your favorite iD traditions will be back in no time, and I can’t wait for your kids—and my own—to take it all in,” said Pete Ingram-Cauchi, our CEO and proud parent of three iD Tech campers.
In honor of this auspicious occasion, we’re excited to provide a sneak peek into what our community can expect from the epic return to the flagship programs families trust and kids love.
Back on campus. Back in action!
Before we dive in to all of the exciting things next summer has in store, let’s address our #1 priority: camper and community safety.
We pride ourselves on providing safe spaces for our campers to learn and discover. As we have been for over 22 years, we are accredited by the American Camp Association and adhere to all their standards. Among many other health and safety procedures and policies, we are taking steps to mitigate COVID-19-related risks.
To name just a few, these measures include mandatory staff vaccination against COVID-19, frequent sanitization of shared spaces and surfaces, and staff-wide First Aid and CPR certification.

Now, on with the fun! Here are just a few things to look forward to (we in the office certainly are!) in what’s sure to be an awesome Summer 2022.

From walking the halls of a college campus to working in labs featuring the latest tech, and getting a feel for collegiate life, we’ve mastered the art of creating a fun, camp-ified setting at some of the world’s most prestigious universities.
The on-campus iD Tech experience is about tapping into the internal drive of every student, building upon their passions and interests, and providing a long-term pathway to college, the most exciting careers in STEM, and beyond.

Year after year, we hear from campers and their families: kids find their “people” and come out of their shells in ways that simply don’t happen during the school year. The connections kids and teens make at iD Tech Camps are truly gifts that keep on giving. Encouragement and collaboration with others who share their interests and goals helps campers learn, and the unique learning experiences they share forge lasting bonds.
These are connections and skills that can last a lifetime! Think about it: by collaborating at a STEM camp, students are building life skills and essentially networking (as we grown-ups call it!). Campers will have names to call on when it comes to doing a side project, applying to colleges, finding an internship, or even starting a new business with the friend they met at summer camp back in the day!
The return to in-person camps means a return to places where these life-changing experiences happen, and we’re already counting down the days!

From our flagship iD Tech Camps, to our Semester courses, Alexa Café , and in-person Academies, there is no such thing as “one size fits all” at our programs. This summer, we’re thrilled to welcome back three of our most specialized learning experiences, available at select campuses.
Alexa Café
Alexa Café was founded with the goal of encouraging girls to explore STEM and closing representation gaps that persist across tech industries. Inspired by iD Tech co-founder Alexa Ingram-Cauchi, this program - designed for girls - blends tech, entrepreneurship, and social impact in a fresh, café-like setting.
To this day, this goal has been realized for the thousands of campers who have participated, and this extraordinary program has been officially endorsed by the Society of Women Engineers! We can’t wait for the journey to continue this summer.
iD Game Dev Academy
Designed to kickstart careers and inspire on prestigious campuses, the iD Game Dev Academy is the perfect launchpad for game enthusiasts. And with 2 weeks to realize their amazing ideas, teens can step into the shoes of an esports pro or game design executive. In this unique environment with like-minded peers and expert mentors, teens will learn the full cycle of game production and unlock the skills needed to transform a love of gaming into a lucrative career.

iD Coding & AI Academy
